Modern multi-let industrial estate comprising 251,000 sq ft over 24 units in Frimley, which has strong transport networks with Junction 4 of the M3 less than a mile away. This estate was acquired as part of the Orbital portfolio of south-east industrial estates in December 2014.
In line with our approach to Responsible Investment, when Unit M became vacant, this presented an opportunity to redevelop and create new high quality units with strong ESG credentials. The new units which were named Albany Point, were completed in 2021 and are carbon neutral in operation.
Key sustainability features of the scheme include:
- A BREEAM Excellent rating and Energy Performance Certificate ratings of A+
- Electric vehicle charging for 10% of the parking spaces and e-bike charging points
- An onsite 145kWp solar PV system was installed across the 3 units, enabling all units to be carbon neutral in operation
- LED lighting throughout the units, with external lighting being LED and powered by power generated from the PV panels.
